1Password
1Password is a Password Manager that uniquely brings you both Security and Convenience. It is the only program that provides Anti-Phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding Web Form Filling and Automatic Strong Password Generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept in one secure place provided by Apple's OS X Keychain.
1Password browser extensions support Safari, Camino, Firefox, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, NetNewsWire, Netscape Navigator, and Flock. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again!
1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

1Password is hands-down THE must-have application for Mac users. I've been using it for years and it only gets better with each subsequent release. I just got my new Mac (woohoo Snow Leopard!) yesterday and 1Password 3 was the FIRST application I bought and installed... and I was not disappointed. Simply beautiful... I only wish all programs were as elegant and indispensable... and all developers as friendly, accessible and responsive! NO MAC SHOULD BE WITHOUT 1PASSWORD!
I'm a web developer and deal with dozens of passwords on a daily basis, I don't know how I ever managed without this app.
I just downloaded and installed update to 3.0.7 and when I opened the app I got a window notifying me that it will not work with my version of OS X 10.4.11. I had to trash it and move back up copy to main drive. So... I you're like me and are still using Tiger, do not take down the update. If you do and you don't have a back up...
I did a research on all the apps for storing password for Mac. 1 year later, I am absolutely glad that I choose 1password. Here why: ONLY 1 paid upgrade in 3 years. iPad? http://switchersblog.com/2010/02/1password-and-ipad-part-1.htm They are in developing one already! So easy to use! Always a delight! Dropbox sync. Elegant interface, even my kids like it! Designed for Mac users by Mac users! Intuitive to user. Almost human to human interaction! Quick short cut key for inputing passwords into website! I got a family pack! Heard that they are development a cloud sync version. What else can you ask for? Absolutely must have app for mac users
This is a very reliable app. A bit costly, especially to upgrade, but since the support is so quick and good, it's well worth it!
What should already be part of the OS
I'm inclined to agree with @babakeric on the notion of bloatedness.
The visual candy that has made it into 1Password – for instance, the sliding lock screen animation when you've entered your password – are pretty unnecessary.
On the other hand, I should also say that I couldn't use a computer without this app. It's become completely essential as I'm using it just about every day, mostly for things like eg. online forums and web apps.
Besides, the iPhone companion app makes it even more useful.
I'm probably the only person who dislikes this app.
IMHO, 1Password just over-bloated with eye-candy to the point that it just totally ruins the app. I understand that the developers want to make it look nice, but they've ruined any concision this app could've had: secure notes, identities... things I have no use for at all, with no option to hide them. Not to mention, the icon looks like a tacky modification of the Safari icon, that's annoyingly placed first when my apps are sorted alphabetically. In fact, the annoyance started right when I first installed 1Password, when it took over my computer by "integrating" itself into my browsers without even asking me. This can be disabled, thankfully.
I want to like 1Password, I really do. I hear the support is great, I got the iPhone app for free, and the developers come from right in my hometown of Toronto. 1Password just isn't cutting it for me. I've moved on to Wallet, because it offers something that 1Password doesn't—elegance.
I have hundreds of passwords and logins to keep track of and it would be much, much harder without 1Password. It does have a bit of a learning curve but they're very good about support and documentation. They're also very good about keeping up to date with all the browsers including beta releases of Camino, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. The iPhone app is also very nice to have. Highly recommended.
I have Version 2.9.19 (build 7501) upgraded from the prior upgrade. I find every time I upgrade, without exception, that I totally loose the link-ability of my sites. I can retain the password information, which I have referred to in the past six months manually. Developer responds to email, but same problem remains. The last time, I just gave up on their system. I am glad others have had great success with this program.
