1Password

Version: 2.9.19 || Release Date: 2009-06-08 || License: Shareware (39.95) Developer: Agile Web Solutions

1Password is a Password Manager that uniquely brings you both Security and Convenience. It is the only program that provides Anti-Phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding Web Form Filling and Automatic Strong Password Generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept in one secure place provided by Apple's OS X Keychain.

1Password browser extensions support Safari, Camino, Firefox, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, NetNewsWire, Netscape Navigator, and Flock. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again!

1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

While 1password is cool...AllSecure is much better in my opinion.

This is one of the best applications I've used. I rely on it every day, and would be lost without it. Another commenter included it in their "must have" selections, including Quicksilver and Dropbox, and I must echo that sentiment - when you encounter another mac without it, it's a bit of a disappointment.

Just thought I would pass on my delight to other Mac users who have not yet tried 1Password. It's a great tool, simple to use and understand. Best $40 I've spent in a long time! Go on, give it a try..........

I LOVE my 1Password software. I cannot imagine online life without it and I don't know how I managed before I had it. It has lots of great features and is super easy to begin using. It is a MUST-HAVE for every Mac user!

After realizing that most of my passwords were the same thing, I looked for an app to help. 1Password was the winner. I love the security and ease of use it provides. I did have trouble getting the first sync with my iPhone and the support team pointed me in the right direction and I solved my own issue and away I go...

I for one can't remember life before it! (OK, I can, but you get the idea...)

Skeptical at first, I gave it a spin, then bought it and couldn't be happier. Just yesterday I ran into a problem (my banking site changed something on their login screen) and my tech support email was answered in a flash; problem got solved immediately.

A+ feel-good factor about 1Password and its people!

A true gotta-have. Plus, I recently installed a plug-in in the Safari 4 beta, which surfaced a problem with an old install of 1password that was still around. When I wrote to them, I got a really quick reply from the co-creator of the program that explained and solved my issue immediately. First rate.

I am a heavy user of Roboform. When I purchased a Mac, I was disheartened to not have a similar product for the Mac. Along came 1Password. I would be lost without it. I easily imported my Roboform data and viola, I was immediately sold. I now like this better than Roboform. The rest of my family use it and rave. 1Password is truly the best. Try it, you will end up buy a license.

1Password is magical. It is integrated into your browsers, is intuitive and secure. It beats the pants off of all of the other "password" managers I have used. 1Password gets it right. It maintains itself in the background, instead of you keeping it up to date. It is one of those products, like Quicksilver, Fresh, Dropbox that is ubiquitous and I cannot recommend it enough.

I have thousands of passwords to remember. Syncing them all with 1Password through Dropbox in every browser I use is priceless. Plus the password generator can make pronounceable passwords like "bow-em-o" as well as the normal "U@*z3]&a44Lh" stuff.
