Too many passwords to remember? 1Password can create strong, unique passwords for you, remember them, and restore them, all directly in your web browser.

1Password is a password manager that goes beyond simple password storage by integrating directly with your web browser to automatically log you into websites, enter credit card information, fill registration forms, and easily generate strong passwords.

Your passwords, identities, and credit cards, are just some of the confidential information that 1Password stores in one secure place, protected by the only password you will need to remember.

1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

This App doesn't just work ... it's almost alive. It is there when you need it. Function is totally "crossplatform" ... at least from a Mac perspective ;-) ... covering OS X and both iOS forms (iPhone & iPad) ... there is now also a version for Windows if you must deal with that.

The interface works well supporting different "classes" of items (login, wallet, software as well as free form notes) as well as folders and tags. The folders are nicely implemented such that you can chose NOT to sync some folders to your iOS devices thus providing an extra level of security for select items. Syncing is by wireless and does not require iTunes activation.

The integration into browsers is excellent both for output (going from App to auto login of a site) and capture (browser to App). Hopefully this will also extend to iPad when the OS supports multitasking.

With all that, support is responsive.

Would that more apps performed at this level of function.

This is a great app and the customer service/support is outstanding. I just wish I would have found the app earlier. It has saved me time and helps me feel more secure with my important information.

I have been accompanying 1Password on its growth path for the past three-and-a-half years, and the progress they have been making is impressive. One area in which, until recently, I felt the application was a little rough on the edges was sync.

But I have just discovered that you have been offering a Dropbox sync option with iOS devices since July, and it solves the problem beautifully (although there were a few dupe issues on my initial sync, nothing outrageous though).

With various other minor improvements, I think that 1Password can really now rate as the best password application available, by quite a wide margin.

I seldom leave reviews, but 1Password truly deserves it. It has been part of my core productivity setup since 2007. I can't imagine having to remember all of the passwords without it, and the time it saves logging in is priceless.

I like knowing that if 1Password fills in the login it has recognized that the site is legitimate and not a phishing site.

I love the way 1Password stays out of the way but is always there when needed, its simple way of adding new logins, and cross-browser support - examples of how software should be written. It also offers a full GUI for managing stored logins, secure notes, software licenses, and more.

I also use 1Password for iPhone, which securely synchronizes with my desktop - all of my logins and securely stored information is always with me.

This review would not be complete without praising 1Password's Customer Support. Over the years I've interacted with their staff many times and always came away impressed with the experience.

I've been using 1Password for over a year and it has saved me some real headaches. The app is simple to use, full featured, safe, reliable, stable, and comes with great support. I have to have simplicity in these types of apps, just because if they're not simple, they take too much time and therefore are not helping me be productive.
There are other good apps out there, but most I've tried are either not well supported or simply not user friendly. 1Password is used on my iPhone and iMac and iPad and syncs up beautifully. You can't go wrong with it. From auto-creation of encrypted passwords, to simple things like storing credit card info, it is the one app I trust to do it all.

Kudos to Agile for this app!

I echo the comments of those who use 1P on multiple machines. My iPad, MacBook Pro, MacBook White, Mac Pro 8-core, and G5 Dual 2 Gig all stay up-to-date with 1P in Dropbox. Not only that, but I messed up a setting file and got PERSONAL service from their technical team. Completely restored over 160 passwords in a matter of seconds. Customer service AND a great product. Wow, Adobe could take some lessons from Agile.

I tried several password and account storage apps on my iPhone but found them all lacking either due to the fact they were hard to use and/or did not have a desktop (Mac) version. Then I found 1Password! All I can say is WOW! This app is perfect. I have it on iPhone, iPad, and multiple Macs. It makes handling online accounts so simple and fast. Logins, inserting credit card info, and so on, couldn't be easier. I had a problem with one upgrade, and I was in a panic because I thought I might have lost everything. But support response was rapid and effective. A simple reinstall was all it needed and all my data were safe (lots of automatic backups built in). I am very happy to recommend this program.

I have been using 1Password for awhile, both on my Mac and on my iPhone, to store securely my login usernames and passwords, notes, and other information I want to protect. I have found it to be extremely useful, reliable, and easy to use. The graphics are appealing, and the sync function allows me to keep both the Mac and iPhone updated. On the rare occassion that I have experienced a technical glitch, the company that makes the software, Agile Solutions, has provided excellent customer support, really the best of any software product I've ever used. The support team is responsive, quick, friendly, and can tell you how to fix a problem or will come up with an update that does the trick within a day or two. They know their product well. This is is truly amazing customer service! I highly recommend 1Password.

I truly believe that it is impossible for anyone to be secure in their dealings with dozens, or even hundreds of internet services that demand usernames and passwords without a utilty like 1Password. I've tried many solutions, and none of them are as robust, well integrated and seamsless as this one. 5 Stars!

I used RoboForm for years on my PC. Just bought my first Mac and found that there was no version of Roboform for Mac. Took me a while to find 1P but I did and with almost instant help from their support team, I got it up and running. Much better than RoboForm, more robust, more secure, many selections for filling the blanks, etc.
I am suggesting to everyone I know who has a Mac to purchase it.
