1Password

Version: 4.1 || Release Date: 2013-12-11 || License: Shareware (49.99) Developer: AgileBits | App Owner: dteare

Too many passwords to remember? 1Password can create strong, unique passwords for you, remember them, and restore them, all directly in your web browser.

1Password is a password manager that goes beyond simple password storage by integrating directly with your web browser to automatically log you into websites, enter credit card information, fill registration forms, and easily generate strong passwords.

Your passwords, identities, and credit cards, are just some of the confidential information that 1Password stores in one secure place, protected by the only password you will need to remember.

1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

I used RoboForm for years on my PC. Just bought my first Mac and found that there was no version of Roboform for Mac. Took me a while to find 1P but I did and with almost instant help from their support team, I got it up and running. Much better than RoboForm, more robust, more secure, many selections for filling the blanks, etc.
I am suggesting to everyone I know who has a Mac to purchase it.
Wonderful.

Nothing new to add - just another /very/ satisfied user!

This software is the real deal. Smart, easy to use, sync's automatically to Dropbox and to your iphone. This is without a doubt the best password software I have ever used. And the best technical support. Well done developer.

I have used several different password vault type programs. This one takes the cake, the platter, serving utensils and all the plates!!! The BEST ever!! It does everything I need and then some. I love that I can choose weather or not it auto-logs for each site. I also love the notes section and the identities and wallet and software and 1PW Anywhere and... I use every bit of this program.

Also I must mention how great the support is for it!! When my laptop got a new mother board and hard drive and came back "bare bones" my 1PW wasn't working after I restored from a back up. I emailed Agile Support and they got right back to me the SAME day!! Their reply was so comprehensive and complete, I had it all fixed within mere moments. Then, when I sent a thank you reply, with a question about using it on my PRE, they shot back a thanks for thanking them along with the answer to my question. These guys are awesome with an awesome product!!

I've been a user for 3 years since I transitioned to the iMac. The program has evolved to one of the most useful programs I own. It not only automatically logs into secure web sites but stores all kinds of personal information. What has proven very useful to me is the storage of software licenses. I no longer loose my license keys since they are stored in one place.

I still have Windows machines and an Android phone so now that I can use the program between all my devices the program is worth it at any price. Even though 1Password for Windows and Android is in Beta, I can now keep all my machines in sync and have instant access to all my passwords and info without running to another computer.

Customer service is superior and sometimes they will answer email's the same day. Because of an error in an order over a year ago I informed them via email on a sunday and received a response that same day crediting me with the overpayment.

GREAT JOB AGILE,

Not only is this a fabulous app they also have outstanding customer support. They will stay with you until your problem is solved. I couldn't do without it. Every Mac owner should install it.

There are a couple of software programs that every Mac user has at least heard about if not owns. Among these, I would say that 1Password is one of the essentials.

1Password is not an inexpensive program, but you certainly get what you pay for. What is magic about 1Password is that you barely have to touch your keyboard to log in to websites. 1Password matches up your passwords to whatever web page you're on. You only have to touch the keyboard once -- the first time you open your browser -- to enter the "one password" that unlocks the program. Once you do that, you can go to all of your login sites and just click the 1Password icon to access your site.

One more thing: the emailed customer support is excellent. These are really nice people. (They're Canadian -- what do you expect?) They respond in a day or so and are very helpful and knowledgeable.

This application is a must for anyone who is serious about web security. It will cleanly and simply keep track of all your passwords and all data entered in complicated forms as well. The upshot is that you will gain control of your login credentials on a web site by web site basis from within a secure application that interacts with all popular web browsers. What that allows you to do is to create individual passwords of arbitrary complexity for each web site you frequent because you have 1password to keep track of them for you. This increases your security on the web by making your passwords harder to crack. Also, if you have more than one computer or device it will keep your latest passwords synched across all your devices which is priceless to me as well.

A program that is easy to navigate, offers secure operation, automatic entry of passwords, storage of other hard to keep up with data, and outstanding customer support - what more could we want? Purchase of 1Password is an investment that pays ample dividends of worry free security.

Working within the IT part of our school district, I have the pleasure of installing and troubleshooting lots of software on our district's Macs. Some are poor, some are good, and then some of the software I use is great.

Ever since I've installed and used 1Password, I've easily categorized this software as a "great" software. It has saved me so much time and trouble while dealing with logging into all of the web sites that require login names and passwords.

And with the built-in password generator, I'm assured that my passwords are strong enough to keep my privacy safe. Plus Drop Box allows you to sync your 1Password items between several Macs.

Excellent software and even better tech support from Agile Web Solutions.
