Too many passwords to remember? 1Password can create strong, unique passwords for you, remember them, and restore them, all directly in your web browser.

1Password is a password manager that goes beyond simple password storage by integrating directly with your web browser to automatically log you into websites, enter credit card information, fill registration forms, and easily generate strong passwords.

Your passwords, identities, and credit cards, are just some of the confidential information that 1Password stores in one secure place, protected by the only password you will need to remember.

1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

As you can read many times over on here, this is a really great App. that should ship with every Mac, or every computer for that matter. I've been using 1Password for years and not only does it function perfectly, they have a really great support team that can answer any questions you may have.

Absolutely Essential!!!!!!

1Password is brilliant. I happily no longer know my passwords for 90% of all sites I have an account on. I changed them to super-long, random gibberish, and 1Password handles the rest for me. I would absolutely die without this application.

I wanted to share my 1Password keychain between two users on my machine. I cooked up some janky setup with symbolic links, and it kind of worked. I sent an e-mail to Agile Web Solutions' support address, and about 5 hours later I got a reply outlining their supported solution using dropbox, mobile me, or a handful of other services. Remarkable support.

There are several password managers out there, but none as good as 1Password. Obviously it's important to have secure passwords, but who can remember strong ones, especially many of them? With 1Password, you don't need to.

It also is updated regularly. For example, when a new version of Safari is released, there usually is an update for 1Password available within 24 hours. More important, the customer service is fantastic. Whenever I've had occasion to write to its support desk with a question, I've always received a reply the same day, often within an hour or two -- even on Saturday and Sunday.

Other password managers may be cheaper, but you cannot go wrong with 1Password. Its developers are committed to their product, and know that prompt, good customer service is as important as what they sell.

I travel the world as an investment banker, from my base in Johannesburg South Africa. Until I started using 1Password I faced the tedious (let alone time consuming) task of typing in security access codes (such as my 13 digit SA Identity Number) simply to get past the initial security requirements pertaining to each securities, trust or online bank account. iPassword which I found initially as an iPad app, now makes all that a thing of the past. One can understand why Apple voted it Software App of 2010. Extraordinary software added to which their customer service is way better than even the big Mac software organisations like Adobe and Microsoft.

This is by far the best software for the Mac other than OS X itself! If you dont have it, GET IT! I have had excellent customer service and product support. I am currently testing out their product called KNOX also, for data encryption.
The best money you can spend to secure your passwords is 1Password!

If you have a problem remembering passwords like i do you need 1Password! I develop App's for the iPhone and iPad and 1Password is one of the best software programs i have. I only have to remember 1 password and that alone saves me valuable time and money. 1 Password is simply the best password program ever developed. And it is so simple to use. Thank you, Agile Web Solutions

I love this APP. Not only is it the best APP out there, but the customer support is terrific. I had a hard drive failure and needed to reset up 1Password. I e-mailed them and did not provide any purchase information to them. They put in a lot of effort to track down my purchase and then e-mailed me the serial number. These guys are FANTASTIC. I'm addicted to using 1Password. Works great with Safari and Firefox. Can't beat these guys!

I have hundreds of passwords and decided to trust 1Password with managing them. Basically three reasons. First they communicate really transparently on their website how the security part works (openssl). Second they have an excellent customer support. Third the application has a wonderful GUI design. Yes, it's a bit bloated, but I really like how it's organized!

@danwarne Not too familiar with Blackberry phones, but you can export/save your 1Password settings to a web page (File -> Export All -> Encrypted Web Page...).

Depending on your sync options and what your phone supports, you can then sync the file to your phone and browse to it locally, or put it on some web server (or Dropbox, for example) you have access to and browse to that from your phone.

This isn't the nicest nethod ever, but you do say you'd accept rudimentary solutions. The fact AWS have provided the means to even achieve such a workaround is credit to them as far as I am concerned.

I have been using it some months now, and just love its security, ease-of-use [intuitive mostly], and integration across the whole lot of web browsers. It 'remembers' the websites I visit, and when I encounter a new, potentially dangerous, one, it warns me before I get into trouble. It could not be more elegant. The wallet alone makes the product most worthy. I use it to store about everything I need to access daily, weekly, monthly or even yearly. The note pad is a 'catch-all' for anything that might not 'fit' in neatly with its features. The password generator is about as robust as can be. Entering credit card information while shopping online is a breeze. The auto-fill feature for address and contact information is most reliable and helpful. I am now putting the database file on a flash drive to port with me anywhere. Never, never will I be stressed about personal data management. Not least, the support is personal, timely and precise every time. Truly, one nifty, indispensable app.
