1Password

Version: Version 4.3 || Release Date: 2014-04-22 || License: Shareware (49.99) Developer: AgileBits | App Owner: dteare

Too many passwords to remember? 1Password can create strong, unique passwords for you, remember them, and restore them, all directly in your web browser.

1Password is a password manager that goes beyond simple password storage by integrating directly with your web browser to automatically log you into websites, enter credit card information, fill registration forms, and easily generate strong passwords.

Your passwords, identities, and credit cards, are just some of the confidential information that 1Password stores in one secure place, protected by the only password you will need to remember.

1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

1 Password to rule them all ... except on Blackberry. Or any smartphone except iPhone/iPad. (Not being nasty... I really love 1Password; it's probably in my top 3 favorite apps that I've ever used, but I use a Blackberry and really wish there was some way, no matter how rudimentary, of getting the username/password data onto it.

1Password çok kullanışlı bir yazılım. Bu yazılımı kullanmadan önce sürekli şifrelerimi kaybederdim. Ama artık çok rahatım.

I agree with bitnix. 1Password is quite an essential application, and the iPhone integration is very nice. But especially since V3.0, it more and more suffers from too much bloat and eye candy.
At least, there's a switch in the prefs on the "Advanced"(!) tab to disable the animations. There should be a "simple layout" mode for people who like it a little more lean.

I'm a web developer/webmaster, I manage many dozens of login/password as well as other information such as credit card numbers, software serial codes, etc. This app has saved me so much time and effort. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Very stable and reliable. Superb support.

1Password is one of the absolute must haves for me. It helps me in many more ways than just passwords.

Pros: Secure, convenient, stable application with amazing customer service to back it all up.

Cons: Hmm, honestly, I can't think of any ... seriously.

1Password is hands-down THE must-have application for Mac users. I've been using it for years and it only gets better with each subsequent release. I just got my new Mac (woohoo Snow Leopard!) yesterday and 1Password 3 was the FIRST application I bought and installed... and I was not disappointed. Simply beautiful... I only wish all programs were as elegant and indispensable... and all developers as friendly, accessible and responsive! NO MAC SHOULD BE WITHOUT 1PASSWORD!

I'm a web developer and deal with dozens of passwords on a daily basis, I don't know how I ever managed without this app.

I just downloaded and installed update to 3.0.7 and when I opened the app I got a window notifying me that it will not work with my version of OS X 10.4.11. I had to trash it and move back up copy to main drive. So... I you're like me and are still using Tiger, do not take down the update. If you do and you don't have a back up...

I did a research on all the apps for storing password for Mac. 1 year later, I am absolutely glad that I choose 1password. Here why: ONLY 1 paid upgrade in 3 years. iPad? http://switchersblog.com/2010/02/1password-and-ipad-part-1.htm They are in developing one already! So easy to use! Always a delight! Dropbox sync. Elegant interface, even my kids like it! Designed for Mac users by Mac users! Intuitive to user. Almost human to human interaction! Quick short cut key for inputing passwords into website! I got a family pack! Heard that they are development a cloud sync version. What else can you ask for? Absolutely must have app for mac users

This is a very reliable app. A bit costly, especially to upgrade, but since the support is so quick and good, it's well worth it!
