Tried several Messenger clients for the Mac, only Adium beats them all. It is user friendly and easy to use. Also the ability to customize the interface is a nice future.
Forget about aMSN en Microsoft Messenger!
I used messenger 8 BETA before, but screw the camera!
This is much, much better...
Adium 1.3.4 is now available
I am running 1.3.3 and I still have problems with the MSN support.. for the rest its just brilliat!
Adium version 1.3.4b1 is available
Best all-in-one messaging client.
Best chat app for mac. Default user interface sucks. Luckily It's highly customizable, so you can make Adium look wonderful (like iChat, but way better).
what I don't like:
- No audio/video support
- Slow Transfers
With version 1.3 status messages from MSN are supported.
Now the app is really complete. I loveeee this app :P
How are custom emoticons on the microsoft msn?
Cause ive used this.. and doesnt quite work.. i mean.. the custom emoticons part
Currently the 'invisible' status doesn't work for google talk: when in invisible mode, user is seen by contacts as idle, and not as offline. (It works for msn, though).
This should be corrected in version 1.3, due on 2008-07-13.
