ewkb, there is a pane in aLunch's preferences called "Hotkey". you must navigate there (click on the aLunch icon in your menubar, select "Preferences..." and then click on the "Hotkey" pane), to configure your own hotkey for the feature you speak of. after doing this, you will be able to "view all the applications with the keyboard shortcut".

aLunch was updated (v. 2.2.1) a few hours after my previous post. And now it is able to launch Pages documents.
Thank you, dear developer! (That's what I call support.)

I've been using Atomic Beef (which is very good) but, unfortunately, its download page is down for quite a few days. I needed to install it in another computer, but I couldn't get it. So, I tried aLunch.
And it works very well. It is possible to create different applications categories and it is also possible to launch files. With one exception: aLunch is not able to launch Pages documents. (I wonder why...) I tried with several other kinds of files without any problem: PDF, Excel, JPEG, MPEG-4 videos, etc. The incompatibilty seems to be with Pages files only.
Nevertheless, this a simple and very useful launcher.

It's in my Menu Bar. It works very well. And It's free. Would you like a doughnut with that ?
