The method described below by evitiello to burn video DVDs still works on Snow Leopard - I just burnt one successfully & tested it on a DVD player.
Sadly does not work under Snow Leopard. At least the Video-DVD ('burn a Video_TS folder') option just errors out with a second after starting the burn process. Now trying 'DVD Imager' and Diks Util to make a copy of my badly stamped Cosby Show DVD.
[Edit] Doesn't work too..
For some reason I can't get this app to work with 10.5. Burn keeps crashing or freezing whenever I try to add files to a project...
i've used this app a few times already to burn dvd's and it has worked beautifully, and simply. :) however, just recently i am getting the message:
"Failed
Problem authoring dvd."
or something similiar. - anyone know why this is? (sorry i did not know where else to ask.)
I've only wanted a program to burn DVD's from video files twice in the time I've owned my mac. (Can't understand why the software is bundled, but that's another story...)
The $150 AU fee for Toast is completely over-the-top. But Burn fits the bill and at the right price. Does everything I want it to, easily and with no fuss. There's not a lot of documentation with it, but the controls are straightforward enough to not need much explanation.
Unless you need something complicated, I don't think you can go wrong with this.
Burn crashes on me sometimes, but it's easy to use and does the job.
I love Burn! It does just what I need.
I love it. Nice and ultra simple. No fancy crap, a small, very functional burning program.
It will burn video DVDs. is you already have a VIDEO_TS directory, select DATA as the type, and UDF as the disc type, then add the VIDEO_TS directory. if you have a typical video file format, such as .mpg, .mov, etc select the VIDEO tab, and add the video.
I farted about with cd after cd and search engine madness, all trying to burn my first cd. This software was easy, simple, painless and effective - and I now have a nice collection of audio cd's burnt with burn!
Thank you =)
