Checkbook

Version: 2.0.1 || Release Date: 2008-04-23 || License: Shareware ($14.95) App Owner: outchy

Keeping tabs on your finances can be a lot of work. You ask yourself, "Where is all my money going?" Your old-fashioned paper check register can't provide the sorting and balancing features you so desperately need, but on the other hand, monster applications like Quicken make you sift through tons of features you don't need and distract you with their financial services ads. You could really use a middle ground - a personal finance manager that excels at the basics but keeps things simple. Thank goodness you found us!

Straightforward and intuitive. Help is available for the occasional question. For my use better than Quicken 2007 for Mac which locks up, fails and destroys backup files without warning.

This app is nice and simple. I tried Quicken and just never really liked it. I tried many of the other OSX financial apps (Cha-Ching, Money, etc.) as well but CheckBook was the most useful and easiest one I found. Highly recommended if you just need a nice simple financial application.

I settled on this app after working my way through quite a few others. It's easy to use, fast and reliable. I've been using it for about a year now and recommend it highly.

I got this a while ago. It really is a great app, more than I even need at this point (college student). Very well organized, simple but effective and detailed interface, and a LOT of small things that make it a great app (the summary area is really nice, and making custom summaries is really easy. The only thing I could ask there is regular expression support... but that's a bit geeky).

If you need to track expenses, it's fantastic. Cheap as far as most apps go, and very well designed.

Thanks to this great program, I don't have to worry about reading my own chicken scratch in a real checkbook anymore. This app does one thing and does it perfectly. I highly recommend it.
