Has built-in codecs for DivXâ„¢, 3ivx, XviD and MPEG4 encoded movies, but uses quicktime codecs (eg: Perian) for other formats (eg: WMV,MKV,Ogg,AC-3)

Works great with your garden variety subtitled .MKVs cluttered all around the web! Much better than VLC in this aspect, IMHO. Watched a complete season each of DVDs and .MKVs worth on this app and saw its usefulness, though it IS a bit pricey. And I don't like how far it jumps back and forth through the timeline when using the shortcut keys...

...but I still use it.

Especially good on old G3 machines like my previous iBook.
A bit pricey tough :)
