The market for these kinds of apps is kind of crowded these days. I registered Cocktail in 2002 when maintenance apps for OS X were few and far between. This app is still one of the best and well worth its price.
Yes, you can do all this in Terminal. But some of us prefer a visual UI, and this one is almost perfect and quite elegant.
Pointless. Everything that this app does can be done in Terminal, for free.
It's also not very well written - some versions of it actually, through stupid programming, revealed your admin password to everyone on the machine, by doing something in the form of
echo "your password" | sudo some_command.
Want a real replacement? Try Clix.
Great app, but I'm not sure it's worth the $15 given that other programs do the same for free.
This app is a life saver for OS X power users. Its worth every penny and then some.
Helps me get rid of duplicate entries in the Launch Services database ( --> "Open With..." dialog in the context menu of the Finder...)
Allows for broadband tweaking, interface changes, ...
I lvoe this app. and it loves me
