CrashPlan
CrashPlan is the ultimate backup solution for your home or business.
Files are automatically compressed, encrypted, and transmitted to your designated backup destinations. Easily back up your laptop to a desktop, the office server off-site, or a remote employee's laptop to HQ.
By using your own backup destinations you avoid monthly fees, enjoy greater security, and can recover from data loss much faster. Don't have a destination? Use the built-in destination CrashPlan Central for a small monthly fee.
CrashPlan runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, and now VMWare - our enterprise virtual appliance for business, at no additional cost.
Wondering about how we compare to Time Machine?

Best backup I have used so far for my MacBook Pro. I have tried Mozy and JungleDisk as well, and this one works by far the best.
My Favorite points
-Runs as daemon so gets out of your way
-Does binary diffs...even if you move/rename files. Therefor it always uploads the minimum amount of data.
-Backup to multiple places at the same time
This is a fantastic piece of software. I downloaded it, installed it, configured my notebook to backup to my other Mac and everything just works perfectly.
Does this make bootable backups? Can't find that on the site. I would love a Leopard-friendly replacement for Super Duper.
Great application and even better crash plan central staff. They are simply the best!
I highly recommend this app if you're in the market for a solid backup plan.
What function does this play when you have Time Machine?
Excellent backup software which backs up to either other computers on your local network, or over the Internet to friends' computers, so you don't have to pay for off-site storage. Well worth $20 for piece-of-mind.
Great service. Great tech support. Very good at getting back to you on support issues. Definitely gives you piece of mind know it is automatic. Very good pricing too with plenty of storage.
CrashPlan is a great little app. But, on top of that the guys at Code 42 are great at returning your emails. I have always received top notch customer service from them. CrashPlan is worth every penny. I'm a very happy customer.
Great app! Extremely easy to set up and use. Saved me when I was at work and accidently overwrote a file...was able to quickly retrieve it online from my backup on my home computer.
I backup to a friend and CrashPlan Central (their online service), it's easy and I don't have to worry about losing my stuff ever. It saved me days & days of work when some critical files were corrupted. I went back to the day before the mishap with my files, and restored the version I needed.
