5 Opinions:
oooh, thanks cynicalpeak for the tip :) it makes much more sense to me now since I have about 70 feeds in my default reader and it would be a mess to set up rules to get them categorized in their own folders :)
would be nice though if Cyndicate had the option to use folders and rules even when you put it in subscription view (a feature I missed since I usually keep the toolbar hidden in such applications).
I'll keep an eye on it, thanks again and keep it up! :)
gustomela, it sounds like you're missing the concept behind Cyndicate. It treats feeds in a manner similar to email then to how other aggregators threat feeds. The idea is to set up folders and filters to manage incoming articles. It gives you more power since you can organize each article in the way you want.
If you want a straight feed view though, it has that too. You can switch over to the feed list from the folder list. This is done by pressing the feed symbol that's in the segmented control in the toolbar.
Hm, I paid for NetNewsWire and it's worth every penny. Cyndicate looks interesting.
Off topic observation: I've been noticing that many Mac users seem to want everything for free.
Meh. Safari has a built-in RSS reader which is good enough for simple use. Vienna is free alternative for those looking for more. Why pay $30 for things you can get for free?
downloaded and given a try: I don't understand why every feed you put into it goes to the "inbox" folder and not in a single specific subscription...
this makes it impossible to me to stick with it.
I like labels and rating a lot, though.
