I never really understood the point of this app. Is it just to show off to your mates a portable version of your media collection?

Gorgeous GORGEOUS app, but I guess losing one of their key developers to Apple last year hurt... development seems to have pretty much ground to a halt. My wife and I have 3300 books catalogued so far, and it's become impossibly slow (on a 2GHz MacBook with 2 GB of RAM). We've pretty much stopped adding books in the hope that 2.0 is an improvement, but we're giving up hope...

Don't have nearly as much as some of the other guys posting in my collection. Have over 100+ books, 950+ movies, and 500+ CDs. Really useful app if you have a collection like mine or smaller.

I totally agree with ksusker, while I love this app it has become close to unusable now that i have most of my books and cds in it. it is so slow, closing the app takes forever.

Be warned, this app is not appropriate for libraries of more then a couple thousand items, it will be too slow to be useable with a large library. But damn, it is sooo beautiful, it is almost worth it!
