I'm in total agreement with imark and bikefridaywalter.. well, I'm undecided on the desktop thing. I would actually quite like to display the artwork on the desktop if it sat nicely in the middle of the screen (with adjustable size) rather than taking up the whole desktop.

i usually close the itunes app window and use hotkeys in quicksilver to run the controls. this still allowsj me to see what i'm playing.. and reminds me to go grab art if i don't see anything. very cool and simple. the desktop thing is lame though. dont' do it.
