Doodim permits one to dim the background of the foremost application thereby enhancing its visibility.

You can switch it on or off very quickly from the menu bar, and set the level of dimness.

Works great for me. Simple and free, no problems. I'd never noticed the Exposé issues until the comments here, but I really don't use Exposé much for window navigation!

Yea, isn't useful once it takes up so much real-estate in exposé, as well as the authentication-box bug. If only the author could "inject" doodim into the os in some way so that it disables itself when you press a certain key or hit a hot-spot. Then no problem!

Too bad it only fades to black (I'd prefer dark grey). Otherwise very handy app. Thanks!

backdrop window is visible in expose and author says it can't be fixed.

Looked good at first, but interferes with authentication dialog boxes. Hopefully this will be fixed in future versions
