EagleFiler Universal Binary

Version: 1.3.6 || Release Date: 2008-07-22 || License: Commercial with demo (40) Developer: Michael Tsai

EagleFiler makes managing your information easy. It lets you archive and search mail, Web pages, PDF files, word processing documents, images, and more. Use it to collect information from a variety of sources. Browse different types of files using a standard three-pane interface. Organize them into folders and annotate them with tags and notes, or leave everything in one folder and pin-point the information you need using the live search. Since EagleFiler stores its library in Finder format, you can use it in concert with the other tools in your Mac ecosystem.

There's a lot to like here but the actual implementation isn't robust yet compared to the competitors, KIT or Yojimbo or to a lesser extent DevonThink which offers more features. It freezes and is slow. The ability to include email seems unique and the developer is really good, so well worth monitoring...

This is a nice filing/PIM system. It's somewhere between most entry level clipping programs and something like DevonThink. Simple to use, powerful with a bevy of useful features. This program could probably be Macified a bit as far as appearance, but it includes the important features under the hood that make it feel like it was made by a Mac enthusiast. Very impressive and useful.
