When I used to do web maintenance for a living, I'd get random publicity photos in all sorts of strange sizes. I didn't need or want Photoshop and firing up GIMP for such a simple task was overkill. Preview's functionality in this regard (at the time anyway) was a little too simple.
EasyCrop was a godsent. For less than what I make in an hour this little app would save me tons of time.
Easy to use screencapture app. Its no snaggit from the windows side, but it gets the job done and at a low cost.
