Version is 3.0 and developer sold the software to a different company.

i used this for some time, then switched to MarsEdit. people that are not satisfied with ecto should look into that.

I use ecto to manage half a dozen different sites (all Wordpress driven), and it works beautifully. The only problems I've ever had were related to timing out when sending a post with several images as thumbnails, but creating a new entry quickly solved that issue.
Highly recommended!

I saw a reccomendation on this app and thought I would give it a try. In the middle of working on a new blog post, the damn thing crashed on me. Lost the entire entry. Major suckage. I'm going back to other tools.

Well, I don't like Textile either, it produces some pretty weird coding too. If anyone has anything better to suggest I would definitely be interested.

It's a great app, and the Universal one is muuuuuch faster.

Yes, it makes nasty HTML code, but I use Textile so meh.

Too complicated. It can't handle code. Ends up cluttering oen database with slow, difficult to handle code, especially for pictures.... also the picture uploading feature doesn't work. I've basically just about stoppped using it....

This is one amazing app. If you blog on a Mac, you'll want to give it a try.

Its editor make blogging much easier!

Perfect for keeping more than one blog up to date.
