Like that I can enter future events outside of ICal. Because, ICal wants to regenerate the calendar for the date that the event or todo is due.

Great Tool. I use it together with LaunchBar:

Select E-Mail in Mail.app, select EventManager with LaunchBar, choose "New Event from Mail", save as iCal Event oder ToDo.

Superior to AppleScript alternatives Mail2iCal and fuhgeddaboutir because it places the e-mail content into iCal's Note field and the subject into the Title field.
