Fantastic bit of opensource ware here. Perfect for Youtube.
Shoot your video and save the .avi file to desktop. If you're like me, it may well be over 10min long......so use this great app to split it into sub 10min chunks for upload it.
Overall an essential bit of kit imo that's extremely easy to use (and very fast too).

finally! quicktime used to convert to a very buggy .mov file. it does the job!
