Play wma content on your mac. Works as a Quicktime plugin.
Required OS: not specified
I usually just use VLC for DVDs when DVD Player acts funny or for movies I have on my hard drive. But yeah, VLC is good for Windows files as well.
i hate windows media but i love this implementation. couldn't be done better.
also give VLC a try -- got some mpeg files created on XP which even flip4mac can't play...
Definitely in love with this app. Annoying .wmv files, be gone!
Works as well as one could hope for worthless .wmv files. I wish this wasn't necessary, but it is, sadly.
yes... the other listing should use the application name, like all other listings do on this site.
It's good to keep things uniform.
I'm using the Uni-Bin of this on my CoreDuo iMac and it works great.
Can't wait for the UNIVERSAL BINARY!!!!!
It's in closed beta now.
You still need Windows Media Player to play Windows-only DRM media.
Seems a bit glitchy sometimes, but otherwise a Godsend since WMP for Mac is basically just a big junk heap.
The "save as" function doesn't always seem to work, and the progress bar sometimes doesn't update properly while a movie is playing... but still works way better than WMP.
Will be nicer once they get the universal build working correctly or make the beta available for people to use again.
