FrostWire is a fork of the very popular LimeWire Gnutella client. The purpose of FrostWire is to keep and maintain the freedoms that LimeWire LLC may be forced to withdraw. FrostWire, although very much like LimeWire, will never offer a paid version or a subscription service for the download or use of the FrostWire application. FrostWire is a not-for-profit project. We will never bundle our software with any type of adware, spyware, malware or collect any personal or private data. FrostWire will always remain free as in both price and freedom.

It's not AppFresh's fault that it shows as being version 1.0. It's FrostWire's fault. LogicielMac Update always thought I had 1.0 as well. Obviously when this kind of software tries to get the version information, this is what it ends up getting.

Several newer versions available than what's listed here. Installed version always shows version 1.0 for me also. Looks like the owner has abandoned the app on iusethis.

I have 4.20 installed on snow leopard. It keeps showing 1.0 installed. What's happening?

i like vuze better

New version out, should be added to the list shortly, version 4.18.6 http://frostwire.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/frostwire-iced-torrent-4-18-6-released/

Sluggish UI, but if you want access to the gnutella network, this is probaby your best choice. Get something different if you only want torrents (Transmission).

it works great for me i love this app the best yet so far for mac

Whenever I'd download a .torrent it would always say No Sources Found. Switched to uTorrent and like it alot better then Frostwire.

It does'nt works with Snow Leopard. Needs to update.

I have the latest version and it keeps trying to say it's need to be updated.
