FUGU

Version: 1.2.0 || Release Date: 2006-02-20 || License: Freeware

Fugu is a graphical frontend to the commandline Secure File Transfer application (SFTP). SFTP is similar to FTP, but unlike FTP, the entire session is encrypted, meaning no passwords are sent in cleartext form, and is thus much less vulnerable to third-party interception.

Fugu allows you to take advantage of SFTP's security without having to sacrifice the ease of use found in a GUI.

A nice app, much faster than cyberduck. It just drives me crazy that it sometimes downloads a file without asking me for a password, and some other times I need to enter the password. BTW, an ssh graphical client is such a basic utility that I can't understand why Apple doesn't provide one that "just works". Konqueror on Linux does this in a really convenient an transparent way.

It would be fine it is supported plain FTP also, for the times when you actually have no other option. Great lightweight tool for SFTP though.

Latest binary build was PowerPC, but the source code compiles to Universal just fine.

I use this daily for site maintenance. Great & simple app. And as a bonus, it provides a simple graphical way to edit your "known_hosts" file.
