Safari plug-in creates a richer platform for Web apps.

Imho someone should tag this with 'firefox extension', as it is a firefox extension.
A version for Safari is in development: http://googlemac.blogspot.com/2007/05/google-gears-for-webkit.html (couldn't find a download page). The latter should probably be registered as 'Google Gears for Webkit', once it's available.
