Doesn't work for me: spins then stops spinning, but doesn't notify of the unread messages.
Also, if I put a dummy user name, Gee doesn't display any error message saying it can't connect to gmail, strange...

It would be nice if you could have the icon spin only when checking, and not spin every few seconds if you do have mail. I just disabled spinning completely. This is a really great app to recommend to those who are adamant about checking their email in a web browser.

I prefer the way you can clear the count with this, as sometimes I want to leave reading certain mails until later.
