That seems clear, but it still doesn't make sense. Now that Apple makes Intel Macs and BootCamp, why not throw in a bunch of Windows stuff while you're at it? What about Mac OS Classic stuff too, since there are still plenty of Macs out there that can dual-boot it? Note the subdomain in the URL: this site is (at least for the time being) for OS X native apps only.
Indeed, if whoever listed this on here was just talking about Portage, why wouldn't they just title it Portage? Why would that person use the description that they did (emphasis on the phrase "linux distro"), and why would they use the tags they used (especially "photo")?
I use Pentoo as well, and Mpentoo, the security tester's toolkit. It's highly usable on my Macs, and has a very classy interface with a dock and lots of video animation. Long live the Gentoo project!

Mmm, it is possible that the person who created that entry did think that Gentoo Linux does run on 'mac' (Apple) hardware.

I agree with macskeeball - what is Gentoo Linux doing her? Portage for OSX I can understand, but the actual Gentoo Linux is not a OSX app..

Maybe because you can use Portage to install software under OS X.
Why is this listed on here as OS X software?
