Gmail.app
Gmail.app is a Gecko-based OS X app that lets you run Gmail as a separate application on your dock.
With Gmail.app, you can more easily get to your mail, and avoid being signed into the Google network on your main browser(s) if you prefer to remain anonymous, or use multiple Google or Gmail accounts.

I think it would help if you could set the preferences to open hyperlinks in (specified browser).
AS it is, I have to drag and drop the link to the browser.
If it had offline usage support, it could be a winner, but right now it doesn't seem quite compelling. The UI could be much improved too.
Note: As the Gmail.app page says, you need to install Mozilla's XULRunner first to get this to work.
