I have not had the problems reported by rebrimhall. Flash works just fine, browser seems stable. [On Snow Leopard, Shockwave Flash Plug-in 10.0.32.18.]

Actually, Chrome uses a more recent version of Webkit than Safari 4 from what I have read. So, the difference isn't purely cosmetic.

After being using Chromium nightly builds for many weeks, decided to give it a try.
Google Chrome (for mac) is highly unstable. First time I open a page with flash, the cpu use spiked. Use Chromium till a non-beta arrives. They update every day btw.

People mistake Chrome being faster than Safari probably because they have a big cache/history/etc and Chrome is just installed:

Visually you won't see differences in speed (against Safari). Use it ONLY if you love the user interface.

This browser is awesome... much faster than the others and actually does as it's told (e.g. when you close it).

VoiceOver does not work with Chrome. The Speech services do not work either. Sad...

This version doesn't support plugins, so it is only for devs trying their css+html+javascript web apps. No flash, quicktime, silverlight.
