Should be installed by default on every new mac. Yes, that's how good it is.
One sentence to explain all the app ;
"Get notified of what happens on your Mac"
Should be part of OSX by default. This is a must-have.
I love Growl, but I am currently running Tiger and this 1.2 update bugs me everyday to download it when it isn't even compatible. I haven't found a way to disable it and I'm starting to get annoyed.
Growl 1.2beta3 finally fixes GrowlMail for me. Lets hope they get the final release out soon.
Snow Leopard compatible beta found at http://growl.info/beta.html
A pre-beta version that works with Snow Leopard can be found at: http://groups.google.com/group/growldiscuss/browse_thread/thread/819cdede7370af04/68222f63b39ba763?lnk=raot

Doesn't work 100% in Snow Leopard. Let's hope a fix soon :)
I'm proud to be user #12,500 lol :)
Just started using Growl today and I must say, it's pretty awesome. I've known about it for a while but never downloaded it because I ignorantly didn't think it would be worth my time.
I was very wrong.
Tip: instead of clicking the close box on each notification one at a time, you can close all of them by pressing option while you click the close box of any one of the notification boxes.
