GUI for /etc/hosts

Hostal allows easy control and editing of the Host file on your computer. Hostal supports both host mapping and host blocking. Hostal supports Time to Live to prevent stale host mappings. For users on a network, Hostal detects an existing Hosts file and incorporates those settings as well.

This is certainly handier than keeping /etc/hosts open to edit. It also has a preconfigured blocklists for advertizing sites, and allows you to permit or block IPs individually for a set period of time (days). Definitely a useful tool.
