4 Opinions

Sometime between v0.9.4.7 and v0.9.14034, this one took a turn towards becoming a cloud service client and a social media player, offering an online cache for syncing with other devices and desktops, integrating with last.fm, facebook, twitter etc.

At the core functionality of a music player, Instinctiv still leaves room for improvement. The whole UI / navigation is rather confusing, the automatic fetching of cover art is buggy, various visual glitches and continuous messages in the status bar keep confusing the user.

If you’re looking for an audio player which integrates with your iTunes library but doesn’t require iTunes to run in the background, I'd rather stick with Ecoute or Everplay for the time being.

New version (0.9.4.5) finally seems resolved memory peaks problems; max 9-10%.
In my opinion one of the best "no-need-itunes-open" music player out there!

Developer's website just says required OS 10.5 - but in fact it's Intel-only. Annoying.

Nice interface, nice software overall but a strange CPU behaviour: very frequents peaks (60 - 70 - 80%!!!). I think that needs some improvments!
