Menubar app hides cluttered desktop, helps you concentrate.

Isolator is a small menu bar application that helps you concentrate. When you're working on a document, and don't want to be distracted, turn on Isolator. It will cover up your desktop and all the icons on it, as well as the windows of all your other applications, so you can concentrate on the task in hand.

Isolator is similar to, but not the same as Think and Backdrop. The difference is that it works exactly how I want it to. Maybe you'll like it too.

This application is so well designed! As simple as can be. I agree with Norz: used with Nocturne, my "workspace" looks beautifully clean and focussed. I love that it's fast to turn on and off with a click or shortcut key. Just donated a few bucks the developer. Probably too few. :)

@gusp You can use Nocturne to make the Menu Bar darker or black.

Killer app! Thank you so much!

Wow! So great, why don´t OSX work like this.

Great app! I like the blurring option.

Great app! Helps a lot more than I thought it would. I'm a bit worried to see how it will handle dual-monitors. Though, maybe that defeats the purpose a bit...

Can't live without this app!

This should be the best among its competitors.

Doesn't hide the menu bar.

The only thing more I need from Isolator is for it to expose the desktop when clicking on the finder. Now, the only way to see the desktop icons is by turning off Isolator. Great app!
