iSpazz is a plugin for iTunes on OS X, controlling the MacBook Pro/PowerBook backlight keyboard and optionally the display backlight.
To use this yourself, download the plugin, uncompress it and copy it to Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins in your home folder.
Pressing the “i†key toggles the display flicker. Use at your own risk.

Pretty neat. Purely a novelty. Eventually wears off :p
First and foremost, it is treated as a Visualisation. Secondly, it only works well in low light conditions. Thirdly, when you turn it off, there seems to be an after effect. I have a 17" Macbook Pro and I treat this by covering the light sensors (under the speaker grill) for a few seconds and then letting go :)
