Does anybody know where to download the 1.3 version for Mac OS 10.4 please?

I purchased iStateMenus and I really like it.

@drfrogsplat - Thank you, I did not see this in the pane, but I had since figured it out on my own. At least in my case, I did not have write permissions for the directory /Library/Application Support/iStat local/ - I had to grant myself such permissions from the Get Info window (well, I didn't have to do it from there, but given the circumstances at the time, that was how I did it). I still don't think that's a particularly graceful means of handling it.

brh, when it next asks you to upgrade to 3.0, there are instructions in the information about 3.0 that tell you how to fix that problem

supposedly you just delete:
/Library/Application Support/iStat local/iStat menus
(might be in your own ~/Library/... if its not at /Library/...)

I love this app and have used it for some time. However, going from free to $16 is too large a jump and frankly, too much for how I've used it. Sadly, I'll probably look elsewhere.

So, I don't care that they want to start charging for iStat Menus 3. That's cool!

What I am irritated about is that iStat Menus 2 won't quit bugging me to buy iStat Menus 3! I don't need the features of 3, I'm perfectly happy with 2 for now. Clicking 'Skip This Version' on the update reminder doesn't work - the reminder just keeps coming back anyway… To that end I'd call it more of a nag screen than anything, now… I don't know, it's a great program, and I might even pay the $10, but I'm pretty annoyed by that behavior…

As said by el_cravito, and as reported to iUseThis, version 3.0 is not a freeware anymore. It is now a $10 shareware.

Version 3.0 is not freeware anymore. The price now is $10.

2.0 absolutely rocks. Thanks for the patch!

> some of the items have access to system items like the activity monitor or the network preferences
NB: this is for 10.5 only.
