Nice, but I prefer having all the info in one bar, the way iStat Pro does.

Just a note for those who wanted the mult colored bars back.
We released a silent update that adds an option to add multi color bars back and we also redesigned the back of the widget to make it smaller.
The widget wont notify you of the update so you need to download it manually (we didnt want to annoy people by releasing an official update straight away)

I quite like the interface and usability changed in the new 2.0 version, however I agree that the multi-coloured bars provided uselfull information.

Still I'm keeping the v2.0 with the Puddy colour scheme!

istat nano hides itself from the processes section because the value reported is always massively higher then the real value because of the way the info is gathered.
Also version 2 doesn't have a significant increase in cpu usage. In many cases it will be lower then version 1.

As for the preferences size... yep its not ideal but we feel that all the extra options are worth the extra height. In version 1 you couldnt customize anything where as in version 2 everything can be customized pretty much which makes the widget a whole lot more powerful.

Version 2.0 kind of sucks:
• The preferences screen is significantly larger than the front side, running off of the edge if the widget is in the lower part of the screen.
• The memory and cpu usage bars are no longer color coded to convey extra information (user vs system cpu, and wired vs active vs inactive memory).
• iStat Nano no longer reports itself under the processes section, hiding the fact that:
• The widget now consumes more cpu cycles (probably due to the new gratuitous animation)

No thanks. I'll stick with 1.8

The iStat Nano, along with its bigger brother, the iStat Pro, is the only widget I've actually found usefull. I keep in the middle of screen showing all valuable information about my Mac.

I think when the iStat Menu is released I'm going to stop using this widget, along with Dashboard altogether.

like a little, free, swiss army knife for your dashboard ;)
