Jim Getzen's take on the card game, San Juan. Faithful adaptation and highly rated by card and boardgame players worldwide.
From Jim Getzen's own website:
"San Juan, by Andreas Seyfarth, is an outstanding card game for 2-4 players. It's reasonably easy to learn, has plenty of depth and nuance, and just the right amount of luck. It's simply a lot of fun.
Jim's San Juan is a faithful version of the card game. I didn't include the rules, since I really intend the game to be played by those who own the actual card game, but I am sure they can be tracked down in the wilds of the web.
I made this game in 2005 and posted it at BoardGameGeek.com. It implements the complete rule set (with one or two very minor exceptions), and features pretty good AI players, which are modifiable. The AI can compete against one another in automated sessions. A few people have contributed AI files (the AI is controlled by easy-to-modify text files), icons, and suggestions.
JSJ is an older game of mine, but I'm rather proud of it, and I haven't had any incompatibility reports."
