This is a wonderful app, so glad to have discovered it... a major time-saver for repetitive tasks. This is THE way to automate tasks that require on-screen mouse positioning and clicks... for those pesky commands on the Mac that simply do not have a menu-driven option. Also wonderful for calling up clipboards that you use frequently (e.g. my business logo that I place on videos as a watermark) and for automating entry of variables into option fields. Highly recommended, this has saved me countless hours!

If you have a problem with the way an app works (any app, but Final Cut Pro is one...), you can likely get the functionality you want using Keyboard Maestro.

And if you have two apps that you sort of wish were one app, the Maestro can do that as well.

I can't believe Apple won't just buy it and build it right into the OS. It is so goddamned useful. It is the glue that holds my Mac together.

I have tried a lot of Apps, but I find Keyboard Maestro the app that I use every day, at job and at home.
It gives me shortcuts that I need, and macros.
It is also possible to send the history from one mac to another to use it both places without need to program 2 places.

I had heard about keyboard Maestro from a few sources I trust here and there and had made a mental note to try it. Finally, one day I got fed up with repetitive tasks, and I decided it was time to download it.

I am stuck using Lotus Notes at my workplace but I have the consolation of using a Macbook pro rather than a Windows machine. Still, even on a Mac, Lotus Notes is not, shall we say, famous for its beauty or usability or efficiency.

I installed Keyboard Maestro and I bought it within 4 mins, after setting up a really simple but wonderful macro that lets me quickly switch typeface color to blue in Lotus Notes (saving me three hundred thousand silly steps and wading through sub-menus). A slight exaggeration on the number of steps but not on the time to decide to buy.

I also smugly showed off to my colleagues how nice life has become.

Wonderful application, highly recommended. It will make you wonder how you lived without it.

I heard someone say this app is their secret weapon. It's mine, too. More people should be using this. :) The automation things I've done with this and AppleScript for iTunes are a thing of wonder.

Yes, Keyboard Maestro version 4 is working fine on both Leopard and Snow Leopard. Version 3 is working on Leopard, haven't tested on Snow Leopard. Think you need 4 though.
