Is this a joke? It's like making an applescript to open Safari or some other Apple-supplied app or utility. This viewer is easily accessible through the menu if you have your language checkbox checked in preferences. If you don't want that, just trigger the script under /System/Library/Components/KeyboardViewer.component

You can do it with QuickSilver by typing "KeyboardViewer" or anything else that launches things on your mac. No need for Applescript here.

Ever since 10.3, the very useful keycaps viewer is no longer available as a standalone item.
It's now only available via SYSTEM PREFERENCES->INTERNATIONAL->INPUT MENU.
From here, you can add it as a menu item, but many view this as a more "messy" approach which, if you don't need multiple localisations, takes up menu bar space (ie, if you don't need that little flag symbol in your menu bar in the first place, you'll have to have it now to access the new KeyCaps). The resulting keybord viewer is also too small. Moan, moan, moan....
....well here you can get a better KeyCaps prog (that allows you to see keystrokes and results) back on to your 10.3/4 system....like it was in 10.1/2
And it's free.
