I tried all IRC clients available for the mac (at least the ones that I could find on iusethis (-:), and this one is the best: It is quite sane, careful with your system resources, and still customizable enough to get stuff done.
Has good keyboard support and is quite stable on my machines: I haven't seen it crash, even when an instance was running for 2 weeks or longer.
If you click the i <3 this icon on an app, that app is listed at the top
of your profile, with a heart next to it. This also makes it easier for us
to recommend other apps we think you will love.

This is a really nice client, however, It crashes for me every time someone highlights me in another channel than the one I'm looking at.
I found out what the problem was and submitted a patch, but it has yet to be implemented (6 months and counting...)
I like this a lot. It's simple, stable, and I can customize the chat display with HTML and CSS.
I love this client, it's everything I want.
Simple, but has enough functionality.
wow, what a great client!
