It's cheaper than most of the other info-trackers and better! Well worth the cover price!!
Been a long time MacJournal user and version 5 is pretty good. I really like the leopard look. Unfortunately the last beta broke the mouse scroll wheel support. Hopefully that gets fixed in the near future.

He releases betas that expire when the next beta comes out, and have unrestricted use (ie, no option to buy it in the first place). It's also a great way to trial the app, and see what's coming up in the next updates.
That aside, this is an amazing app. Doing things in it is easy, and it allows you to organize things very easily. To top it all off, it can upload your "journal" to a number of services, including LiveJournal, Blogger, and anything using MovableType, and Wordpress (among others). Great for actual journaling, and for notes of ANY kind.
Though I do think $35 is a bit much for it, if you use it a lot it's worth the money.
I keep various journals within MacJournal for business, fishing, recipes, travel.
A useful application for storing snippets of information by subject.
The application automatically creates backups which should eliminate the risk of disastrous loss of data by keeping all the information from multiple journals in one file.
One of the few non Apple programs in my dock.
I use this for academic stuff (doctorate work) - I keep notes on various topics related to my dissertation in one place. The journal entries act as markers for the different ideas I've organized. Examples: notes from a talk...a to-do list of related people to contact...discussions with my committee chair...
I've kept a sleep log, an exercise log...various lists with checkboxes...
It can be used for a number of things. I find it worth the price of the license. However, I use TextMate for publishing to my blog, because TextMate lets me drag pictures into the post.

Excellent tool for personal or web journaling. The product is rock solid and receives frequent improvements. The author is very responsive.
