Very good app! :)
Two feature wishes however:
- be able to queue par2 creation jobs (only par2 verify/repair and unarchive jobs can be queued)
- have growl notifications when a job completes or fails. (Less important, but still useful)
thank you MacPAR DELUXE! I just tried about 10 applications and this is the only one that worked to unarchive my avi file, I tried seriously like 10 different applications, all of them had errors except this one.
Best Par tools for the mac, bar none. Will also act as an unrar tool and also integrates with other apps such as split&concat. If you're on usenet and download binaries - you NEED macpar. Brilliant app.
certainly the best PAR application for os x. Although you should consider hellanzb which has integrated par recovery.
*Has a problem where it will continue to scan the contents of the directory even after recovery information is sufficient/not needed. This can be very time consuming when you have a large number of files to search through for recovery information.
This program works beautifully with any pars I get from newsgroups. I've not had a single par/par2/rar that this program couldn't handle. It's easy to use, very "mac like" interface, and it's a Universal Binary.
