Man Handler

Version: 2.0u || Release Date: 2007-09-07 || License: Freeware Developer: Nitewing '98 | App Owner: nitewing98

Unix, in all its flavors, is a beautiful thing. It's so darned versatile. But there's a lot to learn if you want to use it well, and viewing man pages in Terminal is...well..not a beautiful thing.

Enter Man Handler. Now you can view man pages with a nice, simple Mac user interface without a lot of hassle. Just enter the term you are curious about, hit the "Get page" button and there it is. And with the built-in services of OS X, you can make the text a sticky note, have your Mac read it aloud, email to someone, and a lot more.

Well, it does show man pages, but otherwise it's not very feature-laden. I'd like to see colored syntax, custom font selection, history back/forward, scrolling using space bar (like less) and a shortcut key to get to the input field. Apart from the last feature I get all of this and more with Bwana .
