McNucle server / Nucle Browser
The McNucle server software turns your Mac into a easy to use fileserver.
Choose a file, generate the link and send it to your friends. Your folder is presented to them in a handy webpage. You and your friends can now browse, preview and download the files on your Mac from any internet enabled computer.
Since you don't upload files up front the amount of files you can share is virtually unlimited.

@bitnix; thanks for you comment. As to your question; in the future there will be a version of the software available (based on the current functionallity) that is free.
