MetaX is a meta-data tagger for mp4 files and their derivatives. It uses Atomic Parsley on the back-end to do the tag writing. Tag data can be automatically downloaded from or entered by the user. Cover art can also be retrieved from Yahoo! or the video file itself.

I'd suggest using it's successor MetaZ:

I was looking for a program that could write meta data for my DVD burns, and this is exactly what I needed.

This is a cool program and I love that I can replace the cover image of M4Vs. However, I ripped many DVDs to M4V and after applying tags with MetaX, none of them has a sound track.

Killer program ... a must need for any type of video collection. iTunes can't match it's options. Being able to flag movies as G/PG/R and to batch process is a joy.

This is IT!! You won't need anything else!
Thank you....Thank you.... Thank You

This is a MUST have for anyone creating a large library in their itunes (movie). It will search online for ALL the correct info based on the file name. After it tags the file it will auto send to your itunes library. The result looks GREAT on my Apple TV!!! Thank you Rodney!!!

Have wanted something like this for a longtime. Perfect app to sit in between Handbrake and iTunes. It is a must have for any digital media collection.

This blows Lostify AWAY!! As far as I can tell this is the best META tag editor for my movies hands down!!
