MindNode is a free and very easy to use mindmapping application. It was created with the user in mind and features a very simple interface for quickly creating visual appealing mind maps.
It's simple, clear and consistent mind mappiong application with very good keyboard hotkeys scheme. I've used FreeMind, which has more features, but it's not as clear and fast as this one.
Now that I've had a chance to use this program, I thought I'd comment again.
This is a useful and beautiful program. I miss some features of MyMind (the outline view especially), but this program's simplicity and utility are undeniable.
Incredibly easy to use and beautiful in an elegant way. I've never been one to mind map but this app is so intuitive and self-explanatory that I'm finishing up a few of my first maps 10 minutes after using it. It may not be full of the features of comparable apps but for my uses, I don't need it to do anything more than it does. Appears to be stable and well coded.
Note to others: this program requires Mac OS X 10.5.
I'm excited to try this out someday, and slightly sad that I can't play with this app today. If you are stuck in 10.4 like me, consider MyMind for your simple mindmapping needs.

Several thanks to its author :)
Works excatly as you'd want it to work in all its simplicity. Exports to PDF so it's really portable too.
