Miro Video Converter

Version: 2.5 || Release Date: 2011-01-20 || License: GPL App Owner: open0source

A super simple way to convert almost any video to MP4, WebM (vp8), Ogg Theora, or for Android, iPhone, and more. 100% Free and open-source.

Miro Video Converter can convert virtually any video file to MP4, WebM (vp8), Theora, or MP3, or allows you to choose your output by device instead of making you figure out the best (or even compatible) format and quality for your videos.

No PPC-Support anymore?

Originally I got it just for putting videos onto my iPhone but have found it to be very handy for any type of video conversions and seem to be using it more and more.

I finally gave up on iSquint and started using Miro to convert television shows to something I can watch on my nano. Miro has a simple interface and very easy to use. The only drawback I see is the lack of a cue. (You can only convert one file at a time.) Other than that it is a fine program.

I really lie Miro Video Converter to extract the audio track (in MP3) of a DivX movie for instance.
