Movist was rewritten and is not free anymore:

Is this project dead?!
Bugs I noticed:
1. AAC 5.1 in MKV problems in some files (playing as mono -- only one speaker)
2. Changing audio tracks inside an MKV causes mute for several seconds
3. MKVs HD (720p or more) 90% of times cause audio-video desync (reopening the files sometimes helps).
And feature request:
1. Subtitles sync control
2. Audio-video sync control
3. FF and RW with mouse wheel.
Other than that, it's the best player for Mac OS X ever.
I just checked it out, and damn! I am a huge niceplayer fan and other than the fact it doesn't have internalized controls thats borderless is the only negative I can see. If they can do that this thing will be HUGE.
As far as performance don't blink because its fast, it uses a tiny more cpu than vlc 1.0.5 (very impressive), but requires less memory and threads on average (from my what I saw in Activity monitor). Its really responsive it also exposes while still playing the video which i love. The playlist functionality is awesome, it opens all the files in the directory and cue up the next one ( which as simple as it is no one does), as well as the simple hot key layout (like niceplayer), plus the added video options is a plus. Definitley worth a look.
My wish list:
1. Borderless
2. Always on top works very well even keeps it in the background when its not plyaing which is great feature as long as its below QuickSilver.
3. 64bit...
4. Borderless did i mention that?
Switched from windows, and searched for a Gom Player alternative. I found Movist, which is even better!! I like VLC too, but I think Movist is more simple and much more beautiful!!
I'm new to Mac and recently tried every damn player to find one with proper look&feel and speed. THIS IS IT!
It's great, but would be even better with an option to delay the audio, so it could be used with Airfoil. :-)
project home at Google code
best app for watching with subtitles
Best so far ... love the "next file in the dirrectory" feature, also smooth ff and rw ... maybe if they added the button-less and border-less window feature would be even better !
