Notify provides a simple and elegant way of keeping track of what's in your Gmail inbox.

Notify is a Gmail notifier which completely rethinks what a Gmail notifier should be. Includes support for multiple Gmail accounts, awesome tabbed account organization, and configurable notifications on a per account basis.

2.0 is re-engineered from the ground up to be easier to use, prettier, and most importantly to be more useful to the user. Support for Google Apps, MobileMe, Rackspace Email, and more has been added.

With the Pro version ($10) you can read full HTML-emails, as well as mark them read, delete them right there on your desktop and send a message from any of your accounts without ever leaving Notify.

Gorgeous app! Handles not only gmail, but all kinds of imap accounts! Someone please update the description as the first time I was looking for a generic imap menubar notifier I overlooked this one.

I like this application a lot. I wish there was a way it could always use the same browser tab.

Domains and IMAP Idle support would be nice. Otherwise it seems nice enough.

Add a "Delete" and a "Junk Mail" button.

Nice application indeed!
I only wish it could login automatically when I do "Open Gmail". That's the only reason why I still use the offical Google Notifier. Maybe in the next version...

Just to clarify, adding Google Apps accounts will work in the future because they're going to implement full-blown IMAP support. That means even non-gMail accounts may work in the future, but it also means support for synching will be possible.

What I would like to see would be open in instead of opening gMail in a browser…

Just a FYI: Currently doesn't support Google Apps-based email accounts, but according to the developer's blog it appears they are planning to implement it in their Notify 1.1 release.
