4 Opinions:
Numbers is cute and, in keeping with Mac's worldview, much of the emphasis is on presentation. If you need serious number crunching, NeoOffice is better (which is considerably better than Office 2008, btw). However, for simple stuff, Numbers is easy and pretty.
Numbers is great. I have also set up my monthly and annual budgets and it was simple. You really have to forget what you know about spreadsheets (Excel) as this is almost a new way of looking at spreadsheets. I think Numbers (and Keynote) are worth the price of iWork.
A wonderful app. It's actually fun to work with spreadsheets this way. Also, I ditched Cha-Ching immediately; Numbers had all I need for my small business accounting needs.
I was really looking forward to this but it runs very slowly with a 6 sheet document on an imac g5 -- NeoOffice is actually faster & smoother. :(
